Who can register vessels in Malta?
Vessel registration in Malta is available to EU citizens residing on the island, allowing them to register under the Maltese flag. Maltese corporate entities can also register ships under the national flag. EU citizens and corporate entities outside Malta can register vessels by appointing a resident agent. The yacht must be available for use in Malta, in accordance with the rules governing the place of supply.
